Before becoming a highly professional coveted soloist, Ariadna Martínez completed her degree studies in Singing and Musical Language and Education Pedagogy at the Conservatorio Superior de Navarra.
She made her debut playing the role of Hansel in the opera “Hansel y Gretel” (Humperdink) and would go on to perform in further operatic roles, including Lesbia in “Catulli Carmina” (Orff), Stephano in “Roméo et Juliette” (Gounod), Gianetta in “L’elisir d’amore” (Donizetti), Norina in “Don Pasquale (Donizetti), Madame Herz in “Der Schauspieldirektor” (Mozart), Musetta in “La Boheme” (Puccini), Papaguena in “Die Zauberflöte” (Mozart) and Micaela in “Carmen” (Bizet). Furthermore, she has experience in the field of Spanish opera (zarzuela) playing several demanding roles.
She will soon sing as a soloist the “Cantar del Alma” (Mompou) in the National Auditorium of Spain and among her next projects is the debut of the role of Adina (L’elisir d’amore) at the Arriaga Theater (Bilbao).
During her career as a soloist soprano, she has sung in a host of renowned venues, both in Spain and abroad such as the Auditorio Baluarte (Pamplona), Teatro Gayarre (Pamplona), Auditorium of Zaragoza, Teatro Amaya (Irún), Euskalduna Auditorium (Bilbao), Teatro Español (Madrid), National Auditorium of Spain (Madrid), Grand Theatre of Tianjin (China), National Centre for Performing Arts of Pekin (China). In addition, she has taken part in several festivals including “Festival des Abbayes des Landes” (France), “International Festival Lucci della Ribalta” (Italy) and Quincena Musical (Spain).
PEDAGOGY
Ariadna Martinez is not only a young and promising soprano, she has also completed a Degree in Musical Teaching in the University of Vasque Country and Musical Language and Education Pedagogy at the Conservatorio Superior de Navarra. She has extensive experience in teaching children’s music and preparing and giving classes of different subjects to children from 2 to 16 years old.
In addition, she has been the director of several children’s choirs such as the Escolania Arteon or the Kinder Sinankay choir where she currently collaborates.
Despite focusing on her career as a soprano, she has not wanted to leave her role as a pedagogue and has united her two passions with the Educa Más que Ópera project. She is in charge of the creation and supervision of the didactic material and the design of the workshops for teachers.
