The “Fuego en la Sangre / Fire in the blood” recital shows all the passion that the Spanish music is capable to express in all its splendour.

It is a journey that starts at the beginning of the XVIII century with the so-called “escuela bolera / bolero school”, encompassing authors such as Blas de Laserena, Manuel García or Sebastián Iradier whose composition inspired Bizet in creating the world-famous “Habanera“ aria from his opera “Carmen”.

Lorca, Falla, Halfter and Granados represent our essential Spanish roots that are nourished by the deepest of our popular traditions. Hence, we could not miss presenting such jewels as the popular songs by Federico Garcia Lorca or the gipsy lullaby by Manuel Falla.

The complete recital ends with two contemporary Spanish composer, Joaquín Díaz from Zamora and the great Joan Manuel Serrat from Barcelona and his wonderful rendering of Antonio Machado’s poem “La Saeta”.

Enjoy a rigorously live demo in our show case premiering on the 11th of January 2021 at 14.30 EST/20:30 CET!
